Elementary Parenting Event Touches on Many Important Topics

Sticking TogetherFeb. 1, 2012 ~ Friendship, preparing for middle school, bullying and parenting with love and logic are a few of the featured topics in the districtwide parenting event "Sticking Together to Create a Better Community," from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, in the Instructional Resource Center, 14090 Black Bob Road, Olathe.

The free event includes two, one-hour sessions hosted by Olathe's elementary school counselors. Other topics focus on female aggression and bullying, and how anxiety and stress can affect the whole family.

Language interpreters will be provided if requested, but childcare is not available for this event.

Parents may sign up online via their child's elementary school website or by requesting a one-page form from the school office.
